Kościuszko Bridge Plaque Restoration

The Kosciuszko Bridge is one of the largest bridges in New York City and is also part of the I278 known as Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. The bridge connecting Brooklyn and Queens and two Polish neighborhoods of Greenpoint and Maspeth. The heavy congestions and endless traffic forced a decision by the state of New York to replace the old Kosciuszko Bridge with the new one. When the first span of the bridge was under construction ,  Darek Knapik a member of Pulaski Association of Business and Professional Men has dedicated his company resources to restore the plaques for the new Kosciuszko Bridge.  The restored plaques were unveiled by Governor Andrew Cuomo during an official ceremony on April 28, 2017.  They were installed on the bridge pillars and are proudly displayed on the east and west bound sides of the bridge.
