Heavyweight Boxer Damian “Hussar” Knyba meets with Pulaski Association members
Professional Boxer Damian “ Hussar” Knyba met with Pulaski Association of Business on Tuesday April 5th as part of his pre fight campaign in New York.
Damian Knyba has 30 amateur fights, 23 of which are winners. He is a 5-time medalist of the Polish Championships, including the Polish Youth Champion in 2019 and the Polish senior champion in 2020. His professional record is 6 wins out of which 4 are knock outs and no defeats. His last fight took place in Szczytno, Poland, where he won by knockout against Knife Didier. As a young competitor, he sparred with Mariusz Wach, Michał Cieślak, and world boxing superstars Adam Kownacki, Filip Hrgovic, Otto Wallin, Daniel Dubois. He trains in Poland with Piotr Wilczewski.
Pursuing the American Dream
Knyba is bringing his professional career to America and is now getting ready for his first New York City fight that will take place at Amazura NYC in Queens, on Saturday May 21st.
During a meeting with Pulaski Association he spoke about his career and said that he was proud to represent a Pulaski Association logo in the ring. He also spoke about the origins of his nick name “Hussar” and said the he is proud of his Polish heritage, history and the bravery of our past warriors including the undefeated hussars who were the strongest army in medieval Europe. He was thrilled to lear that Casimir Pulaski the patron of Pulaski Business was also a great warrior who continued and embedded the beautiful traditions of Husaria. Damian Knyba officially invited the members of the association to his next fight on May 21 and thanked the organization for support.
The Gala on May 21 is organized by two of Pulaski Association of Business members Lukasz Kownacki ( Kownacki Promotions ) and Eryk Rachwal ( RBK Promotions). The Polish boxing night will feature four boxers out of Poland : Witold Lisek , Lukasz Niemczyk , Justna Walas and Damian Knyba as the main event.
